We’ve already talked a lot about getting social on your own brand pages. There’s been plenty of talk about the need to respond to all of the comments and moderate a dialogue that is inclusive of the members and the perspective members you’re looking to attract to your brand.
Another way to connect and reach out is joining Facebook groups and Twitter Tweet Chats. Get your name out there, become a trusted reliable source. There are plenty of area groups that you can join and connect with that are looking for the insight you and your gym staff has to offer. Reach out, because the truth is unless you’re placed right smack dab in front of your perspective members they might not know where to look to find you.
Starting a thread or a conversation on social media is a lot like hosting a party or event at your home or at your gym. The best hosts are the kind that engage everyone, ask questions, keep the conversation flowing, and make everyone feel welcome. You do it in the real world, the interwebs should be a piece of cake.
By going out of your way to be more social in a variety of different chats and groups you connect to an entirely new potential client base and have the opportunity to share who you are and share your brand.
